DESCRIPTION
LEVEL I - SUP BEGINNER LESSON (1 to 1.5 hours)
Level one is for those who have never been on a stand up paddleboard before or have limited experience. You will learn in a protected ocean bay perfect for beginners without waves. However, there is a wave around the corner if you feel like getting adventurous or you have expereinced paddlers in your group that would like a board rental to catch some waves next to you while you take your lesson. There is something for everyone at this beach and it's a gorgeous sunset as well. Bring along non-paddler friends as well and they can enjoy a beach day, go snorkelling, or add a lunch to the trip and make it a beach excursion. Included with your lesson: Stand Up Paddleboard Rental, Paddle, Leash, PFD Life Vest, Instructor and Board Handler.
LEVEL II - SUP TECHNICAL LESSON (1 to 1.5 hours)
Level II is for those who have experience paddleboarding and want to take it to the next level. You will learn more technical aspects of perfecting your paddle stroke and how to do a 180 degree turn faster. It is an intermediate flatwater paddling course and a beginner sup surf course and will take place in a bay. You will achieve a much more difficult cardio workout than Level I and receive tips on transferring your knowledge to SUP Surfing or Racing. Included with your lesson: Stand Up Paddleboard Rental, Paddle, Leash, PFD Life Vest, Instructor and Board Handler.
$45 pp - Group (3+ people)
$55 pp - Semi-Private (2 people)
$85 pp - Private (1 person)

LEVEL III - SUP SURF or OCEAN LESSON (1.5 HOURS)
Level III is an introduction to getting you out into the ocean on your stand up paddleboard and/or to learn to surf with your stand up paddleboard if you so choose. You will receive 1/2 hour of our SUP Surf & Ocean Safety Presentation (referenced below) on land where you will learn about surf and swim-area etiquette, info on tides/rips/currents, types of waves, the line-up and board selection. You will then venture out into the ocean. If there are waves, they will be approximately 0 to 2 feet, which is from your ankle to your thigh, depending upon the conditions. You must have previous SUP experience on flat water, even if you are an experienced prone surfer. Included with your lesson: The SUP Surf & Ocean Safety Presentation (referenced below), SUP Surf Instructor, SUP board, paddle & leash. We will not leave the general surf area and thus a life vest (PFD) and accessories are not necessary per Coastguard regulations. If you will not be surfing, you may bring your own life vest (PFD). However, the vest is not advised if you are taking waves (surfing), since you need to immerse yourself under the water to get away from your board when you finish a wave.

SUP SURF & OCEAN SAFETY PRESENTATION
Indoors or Outdoors at one of our locations or at your location.
Some of you already play in the ocean and might surf a longboard, shortboard, bodyboard, kayak, handplane or your body in the waves, but if you haven't been in a wave on a stand up paddleboard, it's a different breed altogether. Stand Up Paddleboards are considered a watercraft by the U.S. Coastguard. You will learn general surf terminology and safety & techniques regarding subjects such as what to do when you are caught on the inside or if you are in a rip current. You will also learn surf etiquette and technique such as who has the right of way on a wave and what is a line-up, peak, snake and cook. It is very important to learn ocean safety techniques before you are thrown out into a line-up in the waves. SUP boards are becoming more prominent and they are deadly weapons, so we feel it is imperative to share all the knowledge we have with the large numbers of new stand up paddlers who enter the ocean. This presentation is aimed primarily to educate you on the safe use of your watercraft in the ocean, but is also valuable for new surfers who use other equipment to ride waves. If your children are venturing out to ride waves, it will be important for them to take this course as well. In addition to learning great stuff at our clinic, it is a fabulous opportunity to meet other Stand Up Paddleboarders, Surfers & SUP Surfers from the area with whom you can meet up with at a later date. A social event for like-minded watergoers.
You will learn about or have instruction on:
